A Nice Pair

What else do you think I would be referring too, other than the fact that I now have dual monitor support for my computer. If you happen to read Boff's Blog you will note that he has just purchased a shiny new 20" monitor and as a consequence he had a spare monitor that was identical to the one I have - an Eizo 565 monitor. So I bought it from him and now it's connected to my new dual output graphics card (ATI Radeon 1600 Pro). Just need to sort out the calibration of the monitor now.

Seem to have spent all of the week out of the office again but I have decided to bravely/foolishly (delete as applicable) move my Broadband provider to Sky. Inevitable really as now i'm a Sky customer the Sky connect package for 8 MB connection is a fiver a month compared with £26/month with Nildram. Stage 1 has gone very smoothly with me getting the MAC code from Nildram and passing the details to Sky. There is a £20 sign up fee but Sky send you a 108 Mb Netgear wired/wireless router which will provide a useful upgrade to the one I have at present.

First coat of paint due for the boat today (Sunday) as the paint has finally arrived and it's looking a bit sorry for itself in primer at the moment. Sorting out the name next week and getting the graphic produced. The AGM at Durleigh sailing club the other day highlighted the fact that, at the rate the weeks seem to be going by at the moment it won't be too long before the weather is good enough to get out on the water. My Sailing partner is keen as she missed the latter part of last season.

Ordererd the bracket for the TV so that I can wall mount it and when that arrives it will be a case of working out how to best fix it to the wall.

WoW it doesn't get more exciting than this does it?

Happy New Year - Eventually...

I guess that I am overdue to be posting a New Year Blog but I thought that I would wait until I had something useful to say.

Well back at work almost a week after the break and it's getting better. At home I have embarked on the refurbishment of my Dinghy and at the time of writing I have rubbed down the hull, filled in the dents and scratches and undercoated ready for the new colour for 2007 - Shannon Green. The boat is to be named this year too and I have a few ideas that I am considering. Also I have been working on the trailer(s) - Road and Launch - so that they can safely copulate with each other whilst supporting the boat to and from the sailing club. Pictures to follow sometime soon.

I took the plunge and bought the Sony TV that I mentioned in a previous Blog and its a great picture sitting proudly in the bedroom and soon to be fitted to the wall when I have the necessary mods to the wall to support it. Also on the Technology front I am soon to acquire another LCD monitor to work alongside my existing screen. Need to sort out a new video card now.

We have booked our holiday for this year and we have decided on China for our September holiday. It's basically a tour of the best bits of China with a few days in Hong Kong at the end of the holiday. Good flights, nice hotels and another adventure. Another quite year then...

The rest of the year is beginning to get busy too and we have a few weekends and special events planned for the year including the Sound of Music, a week in Cornwall - but they seem a little way away yet .

Attendance at the Gym is going well and the slight over indulgence during the Xmas period needs to be worked off.
