Bristol Hi Fi Show

Took a day off toady (Friday 25th February) and decided to the Hi Fi show at Bristol. It's sponsored by What Hi Fi - amongst others - and is a good day out with plently to see. Lots of things to buy there but I just settled for a pair of the new Sennheiser PXC300 headphones for my Archos jukebox. The trouble is, that because they are so new, not many UK dealers have them at the moment so I am waiting for a call from Audio Excellence in Brsitol when they have them in.

New Domain Names & ISP's

The recent flurry of activity on with ADSL has sen many companies begin to offer 2 MB services for no increase in monthly fee. Not Nildram yet though, and I begun the process of cancelling my account this week. Recieved a call yesterday from Nildram aluding to some special offer that was due at the end of the month, and would I wait for it. No rush really so I will see how it goes.

Finally I have bought some web space from an independant provider to that wich I use as my ISP. they are, I suppose the Skoda of the web hosting world as they offer 100MB web space and the usual unlimited email addresses etc but for only £19.00 + VAT per annum. This price includes a free domain name for two years and no I'm not telling you yet. I bought two more names at the same time and these will be used for emails etc.

New Compact Flash Card & Flash Drive

It's Boffs fault really - conversations with him always turn out to be expensive. Speaking earlier today I was convinced of the advantages of buying 512 MB flash drive after I had already decided to buy a CF card (Lexar Pro 1GB). I have been using the flash card a lot recently and now the prices are so low ( £30 for the flash drive and £61 for the CF card plus VAT) then you can't go wrong really. Need to take some pictures and move some documents around now.
