Dear BBC... your Weather Forecsats are Rubbish!!!

We had a choice of Forecast for this weekend, the BBC "normal" weather forecast showed heavy rain on both Saturday and Sunday with only light winds. The inshore forecast for the WsM area had sunshine and winds of 17-20 mph. Neither was even slightly accurate and fortunately I went to the club on Saturday afternoon and had a very pleasant afternoon's sailing. It was the first time sailing completely solo, so no one else to blame for my mistakes but I came back in one piece having avoided some 30 odd windsurfers who were competing in the "Under 15's South West regional competition" - or something like that. As Carol did not join me on board this week she offered to take some piccies which I am most impressed with. She had been on a Hen night the evening before and was feeling slightly ill (not drink related though).

I did a PA (that's Personal Appearance in show biz parlance) on Friday night at Bar VII where I met some of the "Blog Totty" and waited for Carol to finish the Hen night celebrations. Carol was official photographer for the event and a selection of the photos can be seen on my site - it being a temporary home for them whilst colleagues at work see them. Saturday and Sunday just seemed to come and go with most of today (Sunday) being spent bringing the boat back to home for a few days and sorting out pictures on photoshop. Saturday evening we were invited to a Barbeque at a neighbours house which was very nice - especially the beer!!

I have decided to take the plunge and order Sky HD and this is due to be installed on the 31st August. There is some work to do first though with installing the coax cables neatly into the house before the engineer arrives.

London for three days (2+1) this week and Cardiff for a day then it's the Bank Holiday and for once we are actually doing something. Wer'e off to Duxford on Sunday but staying at Aylesbury on Saturday and Sunday nights - so it's Waddesdon Manor on Saturday, Blenheim Palace for Carol on Sunday and The designer outlet centre (possibly) at Bicester on BH Monday.

I have booked the next three days off after the holiday to go out with Carol, catch up on jobs, perhaps sail, and go to the Gym - and I can't wait for the break...
