Late Order to Father Christmas
It was the day before Christmas ... well not quite that close but about time I ordered my christmas pressies. You know the score by now, loads of research and then rushing like mad to buy - so I placed an order for some new components for my computer, namely :-
Intel 775 Core2 Duo 6850 processor
Asus P5KC M/Board
500 GBytes SATA Hard Drive
8 GBytes (yes that's right) of DDR2 RAM
I'm due to collect the chip, M/Board and Drive from Novatech on Thursday and the memory is being shipped on Friday.
So yet again I haven't blogged for a while and that's because I have been quite busy at work for the last month or so. The last few days in particular were a little hectic, being in London for three of them and then on the Friday enjoying the end of the working year with colleagues at the Christmas party. Didn't feel too good on Saturday though but back to fighting form now and ready for the big day.
We've been (and still are decorating) the dining room but it's coming to a close now with just the floor to lay. This is set for the two days following boxing day when poor old Carol is out at work and Barnes and I are left to our own devices. We have also decided to refresh the hallway and relay the floor there too so it is likely to extend into the New Year.
The 9th January is Carol's Graduation and I'm quite excited about that - we just need the dog to get his cap and gown now although he would probably chew it up rather than wear it.
New York at the end of the month with The First Emperor and Tutankhamen to follow in early February.
This year has been quite an important one for Carol and I will mention the highlights in my round up in the next blog. No holiday plans as yet.
