Rainy Summer but Something to Look forward To...
Its been a pretty poor summer and the hope that we would be going camping is fading fast. In fact when I go back to the Midlands I'll take the tent back with me - packed away for another year then.
Still as usual we have been using the time productively and expensively by booking our holiday to celebrate our 25th anniversary. On the 14th February we fly out to Auckland (via Singapore) for 26 days touring New Zealand in a camper van (well at least we get to do some camping) Probably one of the biggest holidays so far but then again we always say that.
It's hot on the heels of the Egypt holiday but eh... at least we get to spend part of Winter away from the UK.
in the meantime I have been getting around a little at work and especially in London - just for a change.
Sailing has been a little light lately with weather and crew being a problem but lets hope that September brings better weather.
Back to work for a moment - I have just reached 10 years service at Arup. you get a strange shaped silver bar and a pat on the back from the big boss
M birthday bought me a couple of audio books one of which was the latest James Bond book written by Sebastian Faulks - quite good and this has given me an interest in reading other Bond books by the obvious other author.
September is when the boat show comes to Southampton and I will be paying a visit to lust after the latest hardware - sigh...
